In the summer of 2024, Canadian country artist Emma Kade hired NovaCurrent Public Relations to manage publicity and promotions for her new single, “End Game”.
As “End Game” was Emma’s first release in the country genre, we worked with her on a targeted press campaign to introduce her new sound while also authoring her Spotify editorial playlist pitch, launching an Spotify independent playlist campaign, and sending the track to SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio and CBC for airplay consideration.
The music publicity campaign for “End Game” generated over 10 media placements with highlights that included Front Porch Music, Canadian Beats, Tinnitist, LA on Lock, Bong Mines Entertainment, and Amplify Music Magazine.
“End Game” was also added in regular rotation on SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio and was featured on two CBC Radio programs – “Drive” and “Ontario Morning”.
Further to this, it was added to the “North Country”, “Fresh Finds Country”, “Fresh Finds Canada”, and “Country Frontier” editorial playlists on Spotify, with Emma also gaining further recognition as a Spotify RADAR Canada and EQUAL Canada artist for the single. “End Game” was also added to an additional 25 independent playlists through the campaign, which helped it cross over 50K Spotify streams.
In the fall of 2024, we continued our work with Emma Kade again for a grant application to the Creative BC/Amplify Career Development program.
NovaCurrent worked with Emma on all aspects of the application, including the creation of the project plan and supplementary materials.
Emma Kade was approved for funding by Creative BC/Amplify in December of 2024. The funding went towards the recording and marketing of three singles.
In the summer of 2025, we continued our publicity work with Emma Kade on the release of her new single, “Watering Can”. This included authoring the Spotify playlist pitch for editorial consideration along with limited publicity outreach and pitches to Spotify independent playlists.
“Watering Can” was added to the “North Country” editorial playlist on Spotify along with 32 independent Spotify playlist adds from our campaign. This helped the single reach over 25K streams on Spotify.
The PR campaign resulted in coverage from Front Porch Music, Canadian Beats, Medium, V13, and Melodic Magazine.
In the fall of 2025, NovaCurrent PR worked with Emma Kade again on her next single, “Blue Collar Man”.
As with the previous campaigns, this included limited publicity outreach, Spotify playlist pitch authoring, and Spotify independent playlist pitching.
“Blue Collar Man” was added to the “North Country” editorial playlist along with 33 independent Spotify playlists, which helped the single reach over 20K streams.
The publicity campaign resulted in coverage from Front Porch Music, Country’s Local, Music Mecca, Tinnitist, Black is the New AP Style and Authority Magazine.
