Annika Catharina was approved for FACTOR funding in the Artist Development program in early 2024. The funding was applied towards recording, marketing, and video initiatives.

The music publicity campaign for “What if I” earned 30 media interviews and features for Annika Catharina. Highlights included features and interviews from Front Porch Music, Canadian Beats, Tinnitist, Right Chord Music, Conversations About Her, Music & Fashion Blog, Country with Celine, Hometown Country Music, Country’s Local, Complete Country, and Black is the New AP Style.

“What if I” was added in regular rotation by SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio and climbed to #2. On Spotify, it was added to the “New Music Friday Country”, “Country Frontier”, “North Country”, and “Next From Nashville” editorial playlists, with Annika gaining further Spotify recognition as a RADAR Canada and EQUAL Canada artist.

Through our campaign, the single was also added to 40 Spotify independent playlists, which helped the single reach over 180K Spotify streams.

The publicity campaign for “Bandit” earned over 20 media interviews and features for Annika Catharina. This time, the highlights included coverage from Authority Magazine, Buzz Music, The Partae, New Scene Magazine, Studio B Podcast, Live in Limbo, Front Porch Music, and Canadian Beats. The music video was also added by CMT Australia.

“Bandit” was added to SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, where it climbed to #1. On Spotify, it was added to the “Fresh Finds Country” editorial playlist along with 18 other independent playlists through our campaign, which helped lift the single to over 110K Spotify streams.

In the winter of 2024, Annika Catharina was approved for funding. Funding went towards the completion of her the music video for “Love and Hate”, the completion of her debut EP, and marketing initiatives.

The music publicity campaign for “Love and Hate” earned over 15 media interviews and features for Annika Catharina. Coverage included Mundane Magazine, Melodic Magazine, The Harlton Empire, Naluda Magazine, Canadian Beats, and Front Porch Music. The “Love and Hate” music video was also added in rotation by CMT Australia.

“Love and Hate” was also added to SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, where it climbed to #1. To mark the release, Annika Catharina was chosen as the cover artist for the Amazon Music Poppin’ Country editorial playlist, while the song was also added to Amazon’s “”Just North of Nashville” and “Breakthrough Country” playlists. On Spotify, “Love and Hate” was added to the “North Country” and “Country Frontier” editorial playlists along with 24 additional independent playlists through our campaign, which helped the song reach over 280K Spotify streams.

In the spring of 2025, Annika Catharina was selected as a semi-finalist in the SiriusXM Top of the Country competition with “Love and Hate” as her featured song.

In the summer of 2025, Annika Catharina was chosen as both the iHeart Radio Future Star and the Rogers One to Watch for “Love and Hate”. During this period, NovaCurrent PR facilitated a Canadian radio distribution of the song via DMDS and it peaked at #41 on the Canada Country Billboard charts.

“Dishonest” was added to the “Fresh Country”, “Breakthrough Country”, “Just North of Nashville”, and Brand New Music” editorial playlists on Amazon.

On Spotify, it was added to 30 independent Spotify third-party playlists through our campaign, helping the single reach over 230K streams.

It was also accepted by SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio for regular airplay.

The new website for Annika Catharina was launched in the spring of 2025 to reflect her participation in the SiriusXM Top of the Country competition and the upcoming release of her debut EP.

The EP publicity campaign for “You and Me” which resulted in 20 press hits including Canadian Beats, Front Porch Music, Complete Country, All Country News, Melodic Magazine, C-Heads, In a Country Minute, 365 Days, 365 Women, InFocux Magazine, Hidden Beats, The Honey Pop, Love at First Listen, The Vancouver Guardian, and Country in the UK.

On Spotify, the “You and Me” title track was added to the “All New Country”  and “Country Frontier” editorial playlists and was later added to “Fresh Finds Country” and “Fresh Finds Canada”. Our Spotify third-party playlist promotion resulted in 35 adds that helped the single reach 48K streams

The “You and Me” title track was also pitched to SiriusXM Top of the Country Radio, where it was added in regular rotation and peaked at #6

“Under Covers” was added to the “All New Country” and “North Country” editorial playlists on Spotify. As part of our third-party playlist promotion for “Under Covers”, it was added to 33 independent playlists, helping the single reach over 35K streams

As part of our limited PR outreach for the single, NovaCurrent PR also secured an interview for Annika with Front Porch Music as part of the “On the Porch” podcast.

On Spotify, “Better Hands” was added to the “North Country” editorial playlist. Through our independent playlist outreach, the song was added to an additional 36 playlists, which helped it reach over 140K streams

On Amazon, “Better Hands” was added to the  “Just North of Nashville” and “Brand New Music” editorial playlists

The publicity outreach or “Better Hands” earned coverage from the likes of Canadian Beats, Front Porch Music, In the Country with Dave Woods, Music Mecca, A&R Factory, BuzzMusic, and Stereo Stickman.

Kristin Carter was approved for funding in the Music BC Business Travel Grant program in the winter of 2018. The funding was used towards a Nashville songwriting trip.

Kristin Carter was approved for funding in the Creative BC Careers of BC Artists program in the spring of 2019. The funding was used towards the music video for her top 20 Canadian radio single, “Karma” in 2019.

Kristin Carter was approved for funding in the FACTOR Juried Sound Recording program in the spring of 2022. The funding will be used for the creation of her debut album.

Kristin Carter was approved for funding by Creative BC/Amplify in February of 2023. Funding will go towards the planned music video and publicity campaign.

The music publicity campaign for “I’m Still Here” earned 30 media interviews and features for Kristin Carter, highlighted by placements like a Remembrance Day feature by BC’s Show on CBC Radio One, song features by Canadian Beats, Tinnitist, Soundville, Pop Passion Blog, Indie Boulevard, Conversations About Her, along with guest features on Aesthetic Magazine and Black is the New AP Style. As part of this campaign, “I’m Still Here” was also featured on the Amazon Music Canada editorial playlist “Brand New Music”, as well on 15 additional independent Spotify playlists including “The Eh List” by Exclaim.

The full album publicity campaign for “Full Bloom” generated over 50 media placements including interviews with Naluda Magazine, OutLoudCulture, Hidden Beats, Rudy Blair, Better, Eulalie Magazine, Call Me Adam, The Harlton Empire, Black is the New AP Style, VENTS Magazine, The Honey Pop, The Vancouver Guardian, and Authority Magazine, an album review by Melodic Magazine, additional features by Earmilk, Mundane Magazine, and Independent Spirits, and a radio feature by “Vibin'” on CBC Radio One.

“Euphoria” was also featured on the Amazon Music Canada editorial playlist “Brand New Music”, as well over 60 additional independent Spotify playlists including “The Eh List” by Exclaim, resulting in over 30K Spotify streams.

“Lazy Sunday” was added by 30 independent Spotify playlists, resulting in over 40K Spotify streams.

Karen Lee Batten was approved for funding by Creative BC/Amplify BC in January of 2020. The funding was used for the sound recording, videos, and promotion of the singles, “Too Strong” and “Drinkin’ Song”.

In October of 2020, Karen Lee Batten’s new website was completed and launched ahead of her new single, “Too Strong” as a single-page website highlighting her past releases, photos, and career accolades.

The “Too Strong” publicity campaign earned over 35 media interviews and features for Karen, including CTV Morning Live Vancouver, Global News Morning Kingston, Langley Advance Times, Aesthetic Magazine, Canadian Beats, Medium, VENTS Magazine, The Partae, The Country Startpage, The Reviews Are In, Front Porch Music, and Rudy Blair.

Karen Lee Batten was approved for funding by FACTOR in the Artist Development program in 2021. The funding was used towards the music video production costs for “Drinkin’ Song” as well as the accompanying publicity campaign.

The publicity outreach for “Drinkin’ Song” garnered over 40 interviews and features – most notably television performances on CHCH Morning Live, The Hampton Roads Show, and Today in Nashville, a digital performance for SCENES, an Instagram Takeover of The Country Note, interviews for Worlds of Country, Hometown Country Music, and music video placement on CMT Australia. Karen Lee Batten would go on to win the BCCMA Female Artist of the Year Award in 2022 and the Indie Country Artist of the Year Award at the Jim Beam Indies at Canadian Music Week.

In February of 2023, Karen Lee Batten was approved for funding by Creative BC/Amplify BC. The funding will be used for the sound recording, videos, and marketing related to a series of new singles and a full album release.

The music publicity campaign for “Beach Please” earned over 25 media interviews and features for Runaway Angel, highlighted by placements like a television interview on Global News Morning Kingston, a television performance on CHCH Morning Live, a single premiere by Aesthetic Magazine, a music video premiere by The Nash News, and interviews with Authority Magazine, Music City Music Magazine, Nashville Voyager, The Harlton Empire, Hidden Beats, In the Country with Dave Woods, Rudy Blair, and Alexa’s Country Party. Runaway Angel also earned an additional 45 placements from independent Spotify playlists. Runaway Angel closed this campaign by being named Artist of the Month by the Country Music Association of Ontario.

Through this campaign, we secured a video premiere for “Small Town Talking” through The Nash News. The video was also featured by CMT.com and added to rotation on two programming blocks of CMT Australia, allowing Ben to grow his visibility and credibility in these critical markets.

The music publicity campaign for “Saltwater Cowboy” included highlights such as a single premiere by Canadian Beats, a music video premiere by Front Porch Music, a CTV Atlantic News feature about the music video release, a CTV Atlantic television interview, a CTV Calgary News at Noon interview, and an interview by Authority Magazine. The music video for “Saltwater Cowboy” was also featured by CMT.com and added in rotation on two programming blocks by CMT Australia. Front Porch Music later named “Saltwater Cowboy” one of its Top 10 Songs of 2023 based on website traffic.

The music publicity campaign for the “I Only Kiss Cowboys” video release generated media interviews from Canadian Beats, Tinnitist, Complete Country, Authority Magazine, and a feature by Front Porch Music.

Elyse Saunders was approved for funding in the FACTOR Juried Sound Recording program in the summer of 2019. The funding was used for the creation, distribution, and promotion of her 2021 EP, “Free”.

Through this campaign, “Feel You Leaving” was added to regular rotation on CBC Country/Sirius XM and Elyse received 15 media placements including a video premiere from Live in Limbo, a television interview and performance on CHCH Morning Live, features from Front Porch Music and Canadian Beats, as well as interviews with Better Music, The Country Startpage, My Entertainment World, and Country Music News International.

Elyse Saunders was approved for funding in the Creative BC/Amplify Record in BC program in early 2020. The funding was used towards additional sound recording costs for her 2021 EP, “Free”.

Elyse received over 50 media hits, including Global News Morning Kingston, The Reviews Are In, Front Porch Music, The Harlton Empire, VENTS Magazine, Aesthetic Magazine, Tinnitist, Canadian Beats, Medium, Rudy Blair, and a music video premiere on Soundcheck Entertainment. In addition, “Free” received placements from 30 influencers and third-party Spotify playlists.

In Nashville, Elyse was profiled by Music City Music Magazine and performed on the daytime TV show, “Today in Nashville”. Additional coverage included Hidden Beats, Studio B Podcast, TV performances for CHCH Morning Live in Hamilton and The Hampton Roads Show in Virginia. The campaign earned over 15 media interviews and features and over 40 independent Spotify playlist and Instagram influencer placements.

The publicity campaign earned over 30 media placements, including CTV Morning Live Ottawa, CTV Morning Live Regina, Now and Then Magazine, In the Country with Dave Woods, a return to The Hampton Roads Show, Country with Celine, Front Porch Music, and Peterborough This Week, a video premiere on Complete Country, and a CMT.com music video feature. The music video was also added by CMT Australia. Additionally, “Sunshine State of Mind” was added to more than 25 independent Spotify playlists. This campaign ran parallel to the CBC Music Searchlight competition, where Elyse finished as a Top 5 finalist, and concluded with her being nominated for Rising Star and Female Artist at the CMAO Awards.

The “Free” EP publicity campaign earned over 35 media hits – including a Top Country Emerging Artist of the Month feature, Front Porch Music, Live in Limbo, Worlds of Country, The Next Women of Country, The Toronto Guardian, The Country Note, Countrytown, Cashbox Canada, Parton and Pearl, and a return to Today in Nashville.

In 2022, CMT.com featured the music video for “Genes”, which was later added by CMT Australia. Following a fall of 2022 video premiere on The Nash News for “Famous” – the final single from the EP – the video was also added by CMT Australia in January of 2023. “Genes” received an additional 10 placements from Spotify independent playlists and Instagram influencers.

In 2023, Elyse Saunders went on to win “Video of the Year” at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards for “Genes”.

Alli Walker was approved for funding in the FACTOR Juried Sound Recording program in the fall of 2020.

The funding has been used for the creation, distribution, videography, and promotion of her 2023 album “Growing Up” – including the singles “Country Music”, “Maybe I’m Still Drunk”, “Home Town Home”, and “Red Wine or Whiskey”.

Through this outreach, CMT.com featured Alli Walker’s “Growing Up” on the CMT Videos page and CMT Australia added the song in rotation on two programming blocks. These collective placements marked Alli Walker’s video debut on CMT properties.

As a result of this campaign, Amanda Jordan earned 40 interviews and features in support of “Driving in the Dark”, some of which came from a Toronto press day that we coordinated.

Campaign highlights included television segments on The Morning Show (Global Toronto), CTV Morning Live Ottawa, and Global News Morning Kingston, as well as interviews and features from Top Country, CelebMix, Canadian Beats, The Harlton Empire, Front Porch Music, VENTS Magazine, Inside Ottawa Valley, Women of Country, Talk Nerdy to Us, Rudy Blair, and Ottawa Life.

The music publicity campaign for “Heartstrings” earned over 15 media interviews and features for KASIA. Highlights included Perception Magazine, The Partae, Canadian Beats, A&R Factory, BuzzMusic, Tinnitist, Dirty Disco, Live in Limbo, Amplify Music Magazine, and Black is the New AP Style.

We worked with KASIA on a new website to properly showcase her accomplishments and present her  brand with an authentic visual flair.
